I liked the idea of internet connections even though she's a solitary figure, probably home alone. I wonder how connected that really is? How connected can one be looking at a computer screen without hearing the inflections of the voice that make connecting in person so much more meaningful when you can hear the emotions in the spoken word? Just some questions I have.

I grew up watching the Friday Night Fights with my dad. Since then I have always loved the sport though I've rarely watch them in the recent years. My nephew, Greg Vogel (TrackAttackPhotos.com) took some photos for ESPN last week and when I saw them I knew I had to paint this one. If you click on the image, you can see an enlarged version.

This is the daughter of John Gottlieb, another recernt portrait. It was difficult becacause I have never seen her in person so who knows if I captured her or not? She just s beautiful young lady and I loved her big straw hat.
