Girl At The Barre - Private collection

I've had this reference for some time and I finally decided to jump in and do it. She is the fifth of my Dance series. I'd love to be this flexible.

Dew On a Parrot Tulip - SOLD

Someone asked me recently why so many of my current paintings were blue. Aside from the fact that I was working on my Blues series, I guess I'd have to say because I thought I was out of my red phase....but then again, perhaps not. I love these large floral macros. A single blossom that fills a huge canvas makes quite a statement on a wall don't you think?!

Grandma's Blue Goblet

Here's a little something I've been working on. I became intrigued by hands - especially elderly hands. Even when they get old & gnarled there is still a certain grace about them.

The Trumpet Player - SOLD

This trumpet player makes up the final entry in the Blues series. Now you have seen them all. They make an impact hung together. They currently reside in the home as I have not been able to let go of them yet.
Acrylic on canvas 24" X 36" $ 900

Amy Curnow (SOLD)

I thought I would go ahead and add the other paintings in the Blues series. This is Amy Curnow, a local singer.

Those of you who know her will wonder but as an artist (and a mother) I removed the tattoos because I felt they did not add anything to this painting. Original photo by Bill Ellison.

At The Keyboards (SOLD)

I finished this one today. I love the way the keyboards are reflected and distorted in his sunglasses. There's an intensity about this guy that captured my interest. I hope I was able to convey that to you.
Credit for the reference photo goes to Suzanne Foschino a truly gifted photographer.

This is a portrait of Morgan, a friend of my daughter. He is such an interesting individual and portraits are a favorite subject. I love the way this one turned out.

I didn't realize it when I started but this painting started what turned into the blues series. There are currently 4 in the series and I am working on a fifth.
